ICCNC Art Gallery
ICCNC Art Gallery, located on the 3rd floor of ICCNC's building, is the first Bay Area gallery specializing in Muslim artists and Islamic art. All are welcome to our reception and official launch of the gallery on Friday, January 7, 2011 at 7:00 pm.

Muharram 2010 Programs
ICCNC invites all those who stand for justice, peace, and freedom in the world to the following special programs to remember the sacrifices of Imam Hussain (AS) and his followers to uphold the true message of Islam during the Islamic month of Muharram in year of 680 AD (61 AH).

Islamic Chinese Calligraphy Haji Noor Exhibition at ICCNC
Explore the art work of world renowned Chinese Islamic calligrapher Haji Noor Deen Mi Guang Jiang at ICCNC. Exhibit days and hours are November 18th to 22nd, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. He will be giving a lecture on November 22, 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Reza Rohani Joins ICCNC as the new Managing Director

Islamic Cultural Center of Northern California (ICCNC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Reza Rohani to the position of the Managing Director.  Mr. Rohani's responsibilities will include overall planning (religious and cultural events), marketing, fundraising, and managing of ICCNC and its activities. Reza has an innate interest in and aptitude for cultural and educational activities and will bring extensive managerial experience to the Center. 

During the next two months, Mr. Ali Sheikholeslami, the interim Managing Director, will transition his responsibilities to Mr. Rohani.  All of us at ICCNC owe an immense debt of gratitude to Mr. Sheikholeslami for filling this position on a volunteer basis and for making the commitment to continue to lend his expertise and guidance to Mr. Rohani and to others at ICCNC for the foreseeable future.

About Mr. Reza Rohani

Mr. Rohani's life and career is steeped in culture, science, arts, leadership and education. He received his BS in biology from Louisiana State University and worked on his graduate degree until 1978, when he returned to Iran to start a stellar career in education and arts. He has been the Director of Tehran's Children's Libraries, Chairman of Iran Language Institute (over 100,000 students), Executive Manager of RAJA Cultural Co., Int’l Relations Director of Cultural Heritage Foundation and CEO of Rah Danesh Professional Educational Institute. Reza is married with three adult children (who live in the Bay Area). Reza’s wife is an accomplished artist and arts teacher.
