Sadia Saifuddin, who is studying social welfare at UC Berkeley, is believed to be the first Muslim who would represent students on the Board of Regents.
ICCNC hosts and sponsors musical, dramatic, poetry and spoken word performances throughout the year, as well a film and other cultural events such as our acclaimed "Islam and Authors" series. ICCNC is interested in promoting the work of artists and writers who explore different aspects of Islam and Muslims' experiences.
ICCNC provides religious services for important Islamic periods, holidays, and holy days. These include: Eids, birth of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), Ramadan, Muharram, and Ashura. We also provide lectures, classes, workshops, and seminars on various aspects of Islam by different Muslim scholars.
ICCNC provides various religious and educational services to the San Francisco Bay Area. These services include: Islamic marriage and divorce ceremonies, certification for accepting Islam, Islamic burial services, Farsi, Quran, and Islamic studies classes for children, and renting of its facilities to the community.
